A Quiet Ease and Communal Atmosphere

It’s hard to explain the comfort and beauty of Poor Richard’s Landing, but I’ll try. PRL is a silvery driftwood collection of structures opening out onto the ocean, on the bay side of Provincetown, MA. There is a merry green garden running all through it which is dotted with vegetables and flowers.

Sarah and Diane who run it have created a quiet ease and communal atmosphere that you feel as soon as you arrive. There are bikes and boats and floating tubes for anyone to use and a grill at the ready for when you want to toast a marshmallow or grill a hot dog. I always feel that I have been dropped off at my favorite summer camp, or maybe at 28 Barbary Lane. Many of my most delicious naps have occurred at PRL. It’s where I go in my head whenever I need to calm down.
